2JPEG 8.4: Batch Convert to JPEG – Now in Service Mode

2JPEG is a program, which allows image batch conversion via command-line user interface. The program has a powerful image processor and can convert almost any existing image file or document to JPEG. Moreover, with 2JPEG you can have your files automatically edited with selected parameters. 2JPEG works well on a server or workstation and lets you set up effective batch processing‎ of files.

Batch convert documents to JPEG with 2JPEG 8.4

We've released a new and improved version 8.4.

What's new in 2JPEG 8.4:

Added ability to run 2JPEG in Windows OS Service mode

2JPEG can now run in service mode. You can integrate the program into your corporate software system and have 2JPEG operating on server or workstation. Thus, you can set up user-unattended automatic or scheduled batch conversion of images and documents.

Added ability to convert password-protected DOC, DOCX and PDF files

With the new version you can convert password-protected Word and PDF files without prompts to enter password for each file. To enable this feature, use a command like this:

2jpeg.exe -src "C:\In\*.*" -dst "C:\Out" -options srcpwd:"my password"

Added ability to overwrite existing files with the same filename

2JPEG can now overwrite or keep files if they have the same filename.

2jpeg.exe -src "C:\In\*.*" -dst "C:\Out" -options overwrite:no

Files with the same filename will not be overwritten. 2JPEG will convert them, and keep both files.

2jpeg.exe -src "C:\In\*.*" -dst "C:\Out" -options overwrite:yes

Files with the same filename will be overwritten. 2JPEG will convert them, and replace the old files with new ones.

2jpeg.exe -src "C:\In\*.*" -dst "C:\Out" -options overwrite:skip

Files with the same filename will not be converted, but skipped.

Added ability to ignore alpha channel transparency

This new option does not take into account the alpha channel value, which controls transparency of the original image. This a useful feature in case your software has set an incorrect value of the transparency channel for your files. If the wrong value is not ignored, the output image file may look like a blank page after conversion or printing.

To convert files ignoring the value of the alpha channel, use this command as example:

2jpeg.exe -src "C:\In\*.*" -dst "C:\Out" -oper skip_alpha
